A Photographic Study of Light, Ice, Water, and ShadowssteemCreated with Sketch.

The rain clouds that had been hanging low since yesterday finally cleared this morning and so, after having cycled to a supermarket to do my weekly groceries shopping, I went for a long walk in my area on the town’s edge. Rays of the low afternoon sun were reflecting off the mirror-like surface of half-frozen ponds. The interplay of light and shadows was creating some truly beautiful sights of natural scenery. I couldn’t resist taking a few photographs and I am now happy to share them here, for your visual enjoyment:

As usually, all photos above were taken on my Nexus 5 smartphone’s camera. Please share your impressions and tips in the comments section below!

Thank you! :)

First 3 photos are too yellowish...

Yes, you are right. I used Google Photos’ auto colour adjustment. Due to the high degree of sunshine on those pictures the result has probably turned out too yellowish, as you point out. Thank you for your feedback!

Quite nice!

Ah, thank you, @shieha! I appreciate your praise, coming from the real pro. :)
