Ferragosto
This time of year Italian neighborhoods all over the USA are having festivals for the feast of the Assumption of Mary. I stopped by my local festival to grab some pasta and Italian ice, a summertime favorite. If you have an Italian neighborhood near you, go check it out. Just look for a string of green, white and red lights over the street. A couple of blocks will be closed down with food, games, music and an amusement ride or two! It's just old school fun outdoors on an August night, don't forget to try the Italian ice!

I did ferragosto in a park in Italy. Negli abruzzi! It was so fun, with a lot of young people drinking and having fun. I will remember it forever. Una birra, due birre, ... :)
