Purple Pansies • Honey Bees • Combo Photo Contest
This is my entry for Papa-Pepper’s plant/animal combination photography contest. On Thanksgiving Day the temperature was 90 degrees in The Mojave Desert where I came across 2 honey bees battling for nectar on a purple pansie! The honey bees around the area were quite active trying to collect the last drops of nectar before winter arrives in the high desert. It’s good to see so many bees busy at work because their population has been threatened over the last decade or so due to unknown environmental causes!
