Falcon super speed

I had one of these birds fly over my head at almost 300 km per hour, incredible to watch these small raptors when they go into a dive and reach these speeds and target their prey with such military precision. I took this picture in the southern drakensberg mountains with a fully extended 2000 mm fully extended digital zoom.

is this the one which breaks the speed record while diving wings closed?

It sounds like a whistle at the speed they dive, sadly they can get injured if they even touch a small branch at those speeds and can often be fatal.

What beautiful colours in the feathers but its eyes look so mean...
