Are you using polarization filter indoors ?

in photography •  7 years ago

Dear photographers,
I have an amateur question regarding CPL filters - are you using them indoors?
I was doing some food photography and noticed how the polarization filter is useful inside ( especially with glossy surfaces, but on the exemplary photo the table is in "matte" ).

Or is it a stupid question and this is a non-existant situation or that I've induced this effect ? Please treat me like it's the ELI5 subreddit :)
