CLOSE TO THE CREATURES WITH PAPA - TARANTULA II

in photography •  7 years ago

I am really enjoying this new STEEM-powered camera!

For so many years, photography wasn't really even an interest. With no real outlet for it, I just carried on with other things in life. Now, thanks to steemit, I have and outlet, and even a new STEEM-Powered camera to take my photos with.

It is exciting and rewarding to be able to get right up in the face of a creature like this and take some excellent photos. I am so amazed by all the creatures that live around us, and documenting them in such daring detail is a treasure. I am so glad that I was able to run into another Tarantula and take the opportunity to shoot some photos. Here they are.

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Up close it looks fuzzy and sort of cute, though spiders give me the heebie-jeebies. I used to be terrified of them but now I'm able to observe them calmly as long as it's outside. We don't have tarantulas here in north GA, although some spiders come close in size. Also, I am so, so thankful spiders don't fly.

Thankful they do not fly - LOL! Good point!

Eeeek! This is a little too close to the creature!!

I'm supposed to be, but I guess I could use the zoom next time.

he is so hairy!

He sure is!

You are my Hero @papa-peper!!!

I could be friends with a snake but I don't know about tarantulas...

i hate spiders

How do they feel about you?

Seriously thinking of buying a new camera for the same reason I understand what you are saying but there's no way I'm getting that close to a big hairy spider like that although they are great pictures cheers

Thanks, I'm trying to experiment with underwater too!

Wow, really great pictures @papa-pepper!

Give credit where credit is due, I damn sure wouldn't of picked it up!
But nice pics

@papa-pepper... If and when you get your first Tarantula "BITE" will you take a close up picture of it with your new STEEM-powered camera. Igot bit by a stray cat I was feeding afew days ago. Here's proof IMG_2922.JPG

My brother enjoys exotic pets. He had a bird eating spider once. I have a king snake. I fell in love with them in highschool. Thank you for your posts!

hahaha.. Selfie with spider looking even nice. Thanks for the post @papa-pepper

Especially like the 'proof of tarantula' 😂😂😂😉😎

ugh WHY Spiders! ....

Stunning Shots !!!

I am absolutely terrified of arachnids but I still couldn't stop myself from looking at these pictures. It seems like my curiousity outweighs my fear. geat post!

Awesome pictures. I once held a tarantula in my hand, don't mind saying it freaked me right out. I am very new to photography and think I did prety good getting a humming bird. At least my friends thought so lol. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoyed! I'm not a spider guy. Those close ups are too close! Great shots. Give me the heebeejeebee's!

Beautiful images of a wonderful creature.

Wow, the picture quality is amazing. Now we get to see @papa-pepper in High Pixelation! Super cool! You are a dangerous creature magnet. Creatures just slither and crawl around thinking, "Hmmm... where is @papa-pepper today?". I wonder if they have a star to follow and find you!

LOL, yeah they are all over the place, but we appreciate each other!

OMG spider 😰. Yikeszz

And leech too? I'm soooo scared of leeches! Wow you are so brave:)

I'm not petrified of spiders and tarantulas, but I definitely don't want them on me! If this guy was on me, I would squeal like a little girl. Haha! But your photos are great and I appreciate your ability to get up close and personal with this eight-legged creature!

At first I thought, "How close did he get to that spider?" Then me scrolled and scrolled and buddy, you got close to that big ol spider. Uhhh... Wild Spider?
.
ps, gave a shout out to you in last post. Pappa P, the Celebri-Tee.

wow

Huh... This close up it looks more ridiculous than scary, with the eyes positioned on a mini-dome above the head XS

That's what I thought!

wow..dont they bite?

So was this spider on your new property? Was this spider close to your residence? How do you educate your children about safety regarding these spiders? I grew up in South Carolina and I remember my parents explaining the difference between a Copperhead, Water Moccasin and Black snakes were were all common in our area. Black widow spiders were always found under objects lying on the ground. I developed a healthy respect for these creatures however where we live in indian, I have yet to see a poisonous snake.

Also can you elaborate on what you mean by "Steem powered Camera".

Thank you.

The "STEEM-powered camera" means that I bought the camera with earnings from steemit.

As for the children, they get to see and observe all the dangerous animals so that they know what they look like. Once, I even brought home a Black Widow Spider just to show them. Before too long I picked up some boards to move and one of the @little-peppers notified me that a Black Widow was on the boards. Good thing I taught them.

Although I let them handle and interact with snakes, they are not allowed to pick up or look for any on their own. even if they are familiar with a non-venomous, they cannot pick them up on their own.

Most of the Pygmy Rattlers I've caught are ones that the children saw and notified me.

The spider was just a few feet from the property line of the land we bought. Truly, there may be danger everywhere in the world, but if we are educated, we can be wise.

Wow nice close ups. Great shots!

This spider looks to dangerous!!!

It does, but so far it hasn't been too bad! Never bit me yet!

Is it ur pet ?

Nope. It was wild and we returned it to the woods!

Well it is very dangerous to play with wild animals. You should do photography like me.... from distance :p

wow, wonderful macro shots my friend :) really love your work ;)

Great photos papa

Omg you are crazy! :) Great shots

Very Nice Pictures! Super clear. Thanks to Steemit! Lol. And as always, Great post man!

A true fact is that everyone sleeps with a couple of these under their beds. haha

I have arachnophobia.

AHHHHHHHH TRIGGER WARNING !!!!!!

MAJOR PHOBIA !!!!!!!

I think this spider is harmless to humans except the bite is very painful, and their mild venom is weaker than a typical bee's still I'm messing around with it

Ah!!! I saw one when I first moved to the country...they look so scary..but I guess they don't bite? or do they? great photos..so clear..

You have tarantulas there?

Ok, I was hoping to earn enough STEEM to come for a visit one day. But it looks like you will have to come out here instead.

Me and spiders do not play nicely together..... brrrr... give me the willies. ;-)

As usual it is always exciting to watch your blog thanks for sharing@scotty777

OMG, so hairy... does he tickle you? lol

When I grow up, I want to be like papa-pepper. I have been here 5 years now and never seen one of those...of course it could be the guineas that keep them away. Great pics!

PHOTO request: Eastern whip-poor-will

i would freak out, spiders creap me out big time

I love it! Especially the close-up of the eyes, that's so neat!

I sent the idea of my contest on steemit.chat @papa-pepper. Sorry for the off-topic

Isn't it dangerous and scary?

Best pointed elsewhere, this new camera. Nothing against spiders, but this one is a bit over the top 8-).

LOL! Very funny @ocrdu!

@papa-pepper great shots. It's amazing just how close you can get with that lens! Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes you just have to shove the camera right in its face, but the shots are nice!

That's just creepy man..

@papa-pepper does that bite?

These are some amazing shots!

Please stop posting so many pictures of cute animals, you're taking all my voting power! Heh. She's gorgeous!

AAACK!!! I couldn't look away! Awesome pics....still scared of them a bit!
