MILK THISTLE FLOWERS PHOTO SHOOT - Part 2

in photography •  7 years ago

These flowers look so cool when you put them next to one another!

The solo shoot of these Milk Thistle flower heads that I posted yesterday was one thing, but this takes it to a whole ‘nother level.

For any of you who are familiar with the succulent plant commonly referred to as “Hens and Chicks,” you’ll probably notice some similarities when you compare how these flower heads look when placed together like this.

I think that the striking green and purple colors interact well on these flowers. The design and intricacy of them is incredible. I also really appreciate the variety, though these are all from the same Milk Thistle plants.

I hope that you can appreciate these too! I’m glad that I finally stopped and took a minute to photograph them!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

papa-prepper do they have a species of these in any other colors that you are aware? I tried to google it. They are so pretty, I am considering using them for my wedding next spring. Thanks again for sharing your beauty to the less fortunate who don't hold these in my garden.

Indeed, the milk thistles do look very cool together. Great pictures Papa and an even better job photographing them all swaying peacefully together. Nature at its finest - it's beautiful!

Thanks for more, they are very different then what we have here in Australia, but all are nice.
If your crafty & careful enough you can add them to a headband.

Dam, they look cool all together like that!

Yeah, they are pretty fantastic looking in a group!

These flowers are so distinctive and you captured them so well! My toddler would call these pokey flowers. :)

Such an interesting flower. I am fairly sure that they don't grow around here very well. I like the colours that they are. Thanks for sharing!

The color and texture on those beauties is mighty fine.

Gorgeous flowers, and wonderful that they are a liver tonic!

Please check out my puppy posts. Nothing like some puppy therapy! @organiccacao.

Great photos! First time I see this kind of flower.

Hey @papa-pepper, lovely photos of beautiful flowers!
Though what I actually wanted, was to comment on your interview with @mericanhomestead . You mentioned building your house, which kinda caught my ears. Sustainable buildings have been a bit of a passion for me and it would interest me the type of home you're envisioning. Congrats on your fifth child, by the way! I loved the story during the interview. (Sorry for the misplaced comment, by the way, but this is your closest post I found.)

Great images, thanks for sharing. Does anyone else see sacred geometry here?!?

I like how arrange them. : ) Cheers @papa-pepper

Upvote and Follow me too @mahmoudibrahim and thanks

These are gorgeous! Amazing colours and shapes. Did you know that Milk Thistle has some medicinal properties? It can be used to treat some livers problems and gallbladder disorders as it is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. I am sure there are many other documented uses, but that's as much as I can remember off the top of my head!

awesome flowers, thanks for sharing. please check mine too.

Make my day

These are some incredible pictures! I loved your work! :)

Those are are really cool looking. Succulent type plants are always interesting. They look fake they are so pretty. My great grandmother had some succulents that lived for over 10 years in these tiny little pots on her porch. I thought they were fake because nothing could kill them and they always looked amazing.
