WILD PHOTOGRAPHY - Ambystoma laterale

in photography •  7 years ago

Papa is back up in Wisconsin enjoying interacting with some of my old "wild friends!"

I took a drive with Monster Truck the Pepper to a place that I used to go on my lunch breaks and look for animals... (yes, I used to go look for snakes, turtles, frogs and salamanders during the work day.) We found a few of these Blue Spotted Salamanders today, so I took the opportunity to take some photos.

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

wow... this is very great photo. Can you tell me
how can you take like that. what type of camera you use it?

Nice Photo

Blue-spotted salamander looks calm. Nice photography. Does it not afraid of humans (potential predator)?

Ambystoma laterale looks awesome but many people are scared of it because of its snake like resemblance. Thanks for sharing

I saw that thumbnail and it looked like a snake at first to me. I see more lizards than salamanders where I live now.

Have you ever found a Hellbender? I would love to see you search and find one.

No Hellbender yet, but Mudpuppies.

When we were kids a mudpuppy was a prize to find. Hellbenders fascinate me. There is a petroglyph in the mountains, that to me looks like a hellbenders head, it's next to a stream so......

Really awesome photography , thanks for sharing with us !!

I thought salamander before is kinda poisonous like snakes. But it seems not, @papa-pepper you're friend salamander is playing dead with you or trying to run away?

Amazing shots you got of this old wild friend of yours man! He must have been so happy to see you back!Lol!
Have a lovely weekend ahead mate!
Cheers
@progressivechef

Those are some up close photos Papa Pepper. The blue in them comes out! Nicely done my friend. The dark color with the green background goes well indeed. Hey were you able to see the original bicycle poem i wrote on your earlier post? Again thanks for sharing a great post. By the way...what makes Wisconsin salamander unique from ones in other states? - Thanks - Troy

LOL, the animals I would run away from, you play with them! Between, ever thought of becoming Bear Grills 2 on TV!!!

Good Post, appreciate you

amazing

What a beautiful photography
Thanks for sharing

this specie is beautiful , my first time seeing this

Tell me you used zoom lens for this. I'm really terrified of lizards. Never seen a 'salamander' for real before but I'm sure it would terrify me as well.

O don't have encounter with blue salamander before, only the golden brown salamander, but for God sake I didn't come close to see like @papa-pepper just did! I think it's poisonous.

I just read its poisonous. Apparently, the bright colors are a warning sign of its toxicity.

nice, this is such a beautiful animal, you really capture the colors I love them
Is this one poisonous?

I remember the character on Naruto the salamander guy ahah one of my favorites!

The blue salamanders head and eye are very interesting to see. I like how you got pictures of him crawling out of the hole it lots like he was in slow motion.

Following @pappa-pepper is like following a celebrity only just your posts are more interesting :)

I have never seen one! Thank you for sharing :)

Amazing :) shots follow

Wow, this is a salamandra! We also have salamandras, with yellow or orange spots on black body. That means: Do not touch, do not eat me, because I'm poisonous! I'm happy to see this amphibion species, because it lives only in very clean water. This is a message for me to save and protect Mother Earth.

Yah this is so beautiful how cqn l take photos like this its amaizing

Hey @papa-pepper thanks for sharing. I like coming and checking in to see what new creature friend you have spotted. In an awkward way I find it very fascinating! A very satisfying walk on the wild side.

What a beautiful creature! I don't believe I've ever seen one in person.

Old habits die hard @papa-pepper! LOL Glad, you still have the love of the wild.
This Blue Spotted Salamander has all my favorite colors. He'd be a great addition to my garden! I don't have any of these yet. Still collecting different species for my "Jurassic Park". LOL

That is so cool, I love the coloring of the salamander. I can't believe all these animals let you get that close for those pictures but I'm so glad they do because the pictures are very neat. :D
