This was our sun when we left the apple valley this morning!
Searching for a new place to stay in this part of the world means that long distances need to be covered. The farming towns are quite far apart and today we focused upon a town with a very long history. In fact it is the 3rd oldest town in South Africa. Some guesses from our fellow Sefricans?

After about 40 kilometers, we have exited the ring of mountains around the apple valley!
Now we were in a much larger grain and livestock faming area!
As you can see, this road stretches for many miles and the surroundings are stunning!
What can I say? Beautiful isn't it?
And finally, we arrived at our destination. This old church dominates the town!
The cornerstone of the church was laid in the month of November 1910. And we found a way inside this beautiful old church. But I will show you this and some other highlights of the town in another post.

@lizelle Bingo! You Win! Congratulations! The town is indeed Swellendam (See today's post), but they are a bit expensive for us Lady Lizelle. The wide streets reminds me of Bulawayo in the old Rhodesia and the mountains are so expressive. The Lord knows where he wants us and we will continue searching! Blessings!

@joanstewart Thank you Lady Joan and you are so right, but the places that we looked at starts at 2 Mil upwards and so we will continue to search. Swellendam (today's post) is indeed a dreamy place and they have an area where the poor reside, but price wise it's difficult for us. We shall find! Blessings!
