A big order was received for 3 life sized African animals!

The order had to be completed in one week, ready for shipment to Canada and to make only one of these beaded animals normally takes several months to complete. So our friend decided to put a team of African artists together in order to complete the order in time.
Have a look at their work here!

IMG_0003.JPG

Each guy had a section of an animal to complete!

IMG_0006.JPG

Now this is what I call team work!

IMG_0008.JPG

3 guys in action working on this big cheetah!

One guy finishing at the front and another two busy at the back!

IMG_9991.JPG

A closer look at the intricate wire and bead work on the tail!

IMG_9995.JPG

Look how they string the beads onto the wire.
To string thousands of beads by hand would take a very long time.
So they simply load the beads into this battery operated spinner bowl.
They stick the end of the wire into the bowl in order for the beads to run onto the wire.

Another finisher at work checking quality and fixing roughages.

The animals will be wrapped and crated for export on completion and the chief artist will travel with the animals to deliver them and to collect the payment. Really a very innovative effort and their works are fabulous to see. Some rich guy in a foreign land is going to be very happy to receive this. Imagine having life size beaded cheetahs in your visitors lounge. It was indeed great to see this clan of artists at work doing their thing!

Finally, the air was filled by the light hearted banter of the team at work, almost as if they were constantly teasing each other and we left there in very good mood.
Considering that crime is rampant in our country, I honor these guys for using their gifts to make others happy and in the process also earning enough to feed their own families.
No entitlement, no laziness and no squabbles, only sowing the good seeds of love.

beautifully creative @papilloncharity

Thank you my friend and glad that you liked the post!

Looks like so much patience is needed. amazing

Thank you my friend.
Patience and skill!
An unbeatable match!
Blessings!

Those are such cool pieces and so cool seeing them working together to create this piece, thats an innovative way to string beads quickly

Thank you JJ and they are really experts in creating the pieces. What I liked to see was the way that they divided the work between the team members. 3 do the body, 1 the tail, another 1 the head and 1 finisher.
And of course 2 guys to string the different colors of beads onto the wire coils. A real production operation in the field of all places.
Blessings!

That’s what I was impressed with the teamwork and coordination as a team to get the job done in time

I suspect fir most places over here there would be hours or days wasted with meetings planning how to do it than the time it took those guys to actually do the job

What an amazing post ! The creations are wonderfully put together, all those beads are weaved and placed together to construct such lively animal forms !!! AMAZING !

Also I love the team work and everyone's beautiful spirit :) No squabbles, just love, and the desire to achieve something together !!! Absolutely gorgeous post, @papilloncharity! Just absolutely gorgeous <3 !!!!

Wow and thank you so much my friend. I feel flattered at your kind words and I think you had a hand in the Peregrine post being resteemed.
Know that we appreciate your friendship and also what you do to help our charity. As you might know, I created this @papilloncharity site solely for the purposes of supporting our work.
It is certainly wonderful to see the artists at work with their jolly team.
Thank you once again for the kind words and your great deeds to help.
You are a true steemian my friend!
Blessings to you and yours!

Wonderful work. It is amazing how art doesn’t have borders. I am a wire artist myself. I met other wire artists in Europe, Caribbean and Hawaii, never been to Africa. That beading technique is commonly used by all bead workers. What amazes me the most is the wire frames. The chief artist captured the movement of the animals, he is a true architect. Great post my friend, I really love it 😍

Thank you and oh yes, the guy is a master with the framework, as the entire figure depends on it. Great to see that you are also a wire artist and that you know the intricacies of bead work. The myriad of wild animals in Africa has inspired many wire artists and I am waiting for the day that these guys are commissioned to make a full sized elephant.
Blessings!

Wow!! I have never seen anything like this before. Very cool

Rushing for something that big within a week with only handcrafting doesn't sound easy at all! Hope their efforts are well paid!

Thank you kindly and I think that it was the payment amount that spurred them on to create the miracles. That and also their love for their work.
Blessings!

Wow. Those are incredible. It is hard to believe that they were created in such a short time. Very impressive.

Thank you so much Sir, they call it African enterprise and team work.
Magic can happen when people work together.
Blessings!

These are so beautiful! Fabulous construction, too! I've made jewelry by stringing beads onto wires, so I know how time-consuming it is; but, I've never seen one of those spinning bowls before! Fascinating!

Thank you my friend and I was also mesmerized at the sight of how easy it is to use the spinning bowl to string beads onto wire.
Blessings!

That is stunning!!! People seldom appreciate the endless hours and effort that get put into the creation of art.

Thank you!
The great thing about it that grabs me is that they don't turn to crime for "easy" living, but that they rather do what they love to do. And as a bonus, it's beautiful.
Blessings!

Yes agreed. This positive direction really needs to be encouraged more here in SA.

I would really like to get this out there, but the "Promote" icon on the post states that it is temporarily out of action.
I have never used resteem bots, but I think that I should have another look at them.

Will see what I can do to help tomorrow morning :) for now, I have resteemed and tweeted it for you xxx

Thank you Ma'am!

Only a pleasure :)

That's an awesome artwork. These guys are doing a great job. Thanks a lot for sharing this, my friend.

Thank you and glad that you liked the post my friend.
Many hands make light work!
Blessings!

Wow, that looks so painstakingly! But the results are gorgeous! <3

Thank you and I agree that it's painstaking work.
I stood and watched them at work and it was amazing to see how the bare frames were gradually transformed into beauty.
Blessings!

They are really talented! Great workmanship!

Thank you my friend and it's wonderful to see them at work, shaping animals out of coils of wire!
Blessings!

Thanks for sharing too!

wow damn from a far it did not look like that much of a work, but those close ups truly showed that it takes damn long time and patience. cheers! ;)

Wow! I almost lost you here in all of the comments.
Thank you and welcome to the clan my friend!

Great post! I really liked these unusual sculptures that you showed before.
It was very interesting to see in more detail how they are made. It's awesome!

Thank you Lady Elena!
I am the inquisitive type and I just had to get a closer look at the workmanship.
Really an eye opener.
Blessings!

This is really cool! Nice work!!

Thank you my friend!
Blessings!

Superb team work, initiative, hard work!

It's meeting fellow South African's like this, who make us proud to be South African with their drive to overcome poverty Steven.

Absolutely agreed with you Lady Joan, we can do so much, but sadly the support is lacking.
I dream of the day that Papillon will have enough funds to employ artists like these to teach others their trade. Sadly they will not volunteer and I understand this, as they have to feed their families.
If only steem would grow Selah!

I bet they were seeing beads in their dreams at night.

hahaha, oh yeah and maybe a thousand wire cheetahs chasing them!
Blessings!

Nice artwork. Thanks for sharing. I wonder about how aluminium (Is it aluminium?) bars bended. by CNC bending? or by human. If human very good 3d skill.👍👏

Posted using Partiko iOS

Thank you my friend and this is not aluminium bars.
It is soft galvanized wire.
Blessings!

Main structure is galvanized wire? Ticker ones look like aluminium but ok i can not understand from its colors in here. But very well bended. Nice clean plastic(well shaped artistic) forms. Thanks for interest again.

I love to see how art gets created and I am so glad to see this post. I always wondered how beads could be strung in such volume, so thank you for showing that part of the task.

The results are so life-like. Just amazing to see. I hope these sell for a great fortune with all the work that goes into them.

It's so interesting that the art will be accompanied to it's final destination. It looks strong, but also delicate, so I'm glad the animals will not be left to their own in shipping.

Howdy sir papilloncharity! What a wonderful post and that project is an inspiration to see, a real blessing!

Howdy Sir @janton, glad you liked it my friend!
Thank you and all blessings that side.

hey sir papilloncharity, is there a website which has such animals for sale? I mean the beaded ones? It blows my mind how much work goes into those and I'd like to show Mrs. J.

Hi Sir @janton, I will find out from the chief guy that designs them and let you know.
May you have a blessed Easter and I am sitting here listening to a talk about the world desperately trying to tarnish the Easter festival, by equating it to a pagan festival.
This of course is a very old argument, but it's always interesting to hear what is said.
Of course we have no doubts about the truth of Easter, as there is only one truth and that is the Christ.
Blessings!

Howdy again sir papilloncharity! oh that is very interesting, the nay sayers try to diminish the power of the Resurrection by claiming it's nothing but a celebration tied to pagan practices. That's a clever tactic but I don't think it's ever worked. But what else do they have? Not much, I hope anyone hearing that will be spurred to curiosity and research it themselves!

Howdy Sir @janton, the sad thing is that they don't understand the power of prayer as the scriptures state that God will build His church and the power of hell will not overcome it!
You are right, as I also hope that it will spur some on to get a Bible and to search for the truth!
Blessings!

Great workmanship!!! This is superb.

I have never heard of beaded animals. The finishing works look so beautiful and adorable.
Wow! A big kudos to the team👏👏👏

Thank you and I will tell the team that everyone here on steemit raves about their work.
Who knows, maybe I can get them to join.
Blessings!
