This is how the long fight started, as you can see the moon covered by a light band of cloud!
Some called it the Blood Moon, others called it the Silver Blood Moon and yet others called it Silver Fox Blood Moon. Of course I also wanted to take a shot at this phenomenon and I heard afterwards that the full moon was struck by a meteorite at the exact same time as the lunar eclipse. How true that is I do not know and in any case we didn't see the eclipse here in South Africa. My struggle however was to wait for a clear shot whilst the hours dragged on!
Let's see if I managed!
For a brief moment I thought that I had won, but the clouds beat me!
Frustratingly I could see that something was going on due to the silvery shine hidden by the cloud!
And here the clouds have now intensified to spoil my day!
Finally in the early morning hours I spotted a gap, but by then the fun was over!
Did I win? No! As there was still a thin veil of cloud over the last shot, but it was the best that I could get. A habit of mine is to view problems such as the clouds on the night as a challenge to overcome, as this prevents the feelings of disappointment and frustration. Time is also a great helper in that patience will almost always bring positive results and the moment of action is due to appear sooner or later. The trick is to wait for it!

The clouds reflecting light of the moon give it a lovely texture and feel, I snapped off a couple before going to bed. Researched the day prior to realize we would not see much so did not bother to fall out of bed too early.
