First up is the King of the Eagles, the famous African Fish Eagle.
Today I will show you 3 different Eagles!
To get these predator birds on camera in the wild is not easy and one always comes upon them totally unexpected. The fish eagle's cry is heard long before a person can see him and fortunately the guy in the photo above decided to bank in a swoosh right near me. I suspected that he would be near the farm dam and I was surrounded by trees, that's why I only got this one precious shot at him in an opening above my head.

This guy is the Wahlberg Eagle!

Finally, this little mongoose above couldn't know why I was scaring him away.
I was worried about all of the eagles around!
Oh yes, I love the predator birds even though I have a love/hate relationship with them. When one lifts a little lamb I can cry and the same with other little victims, but life is life and the predators have to eat and to also feed their own young.
Just the other day a news article bemoaned the fact that 20 vultures died due to someone killing them with a poisoned carcass. Then of course we have a huge poacher problem and the vulnerable Pangolins and Rhino's are now on the danger list. The bee populations are threatened and on and on we continue to decimate nature.
I fear that the day will arrive that our children will not see the birds in this post anymore. That they will only see stuffed birds and others of nature's beautiful residents. I repeatedly state these fears in the hope to bring about awareness of our plight. Believe me that these are not empty fears and even if the naysayers maintain that nature can re-populate herself, once some life is declared as extinct, it is over, finished.

I seen it once Lady Joan and the problem, as I was told, is that the grip of the talons in the lift breaks the victims back. The eagles know exactly where to grab him.

Great shots my friend. And yes, here are too so many changes in the environment. We lost 70% of our insects, which is food for birds on the other side. And a lot of the birds are in danger.

Wow, beautiful birds! We have Bald eagles around here and I always feel so blessed and fortunate when I see them. Such majestic birds, all have their place on this earth, even the vultures :) Thank you for sharing these special pictures. I wasn't familiar with either of these eagles!

Howdy Sir @janton you are so right, the lion shall lay with the lamb and I also know that nature has no intended cruelty, as the feeding cycle has to continue. We are in the midst of preparing for the national youth day festivities and I also have another load of donated computers arriving early next week. Yesterday we had a meeting with all of the coordinators for the youth event and tomorrow it's church.
