The dire situation facing innocents in our country!

Here we have a mother and children with no husband. Look at the gratitude for Papillon's gifts. It is custom here to fold the arms and to look at the ground in a humble thank you gesture.

You cannot see on their faces the fact that they face a horrible future at the Munsieville squatter camps. To show that this story is not a hoax, or a scam, this picture and the next two were taken by me from an article in the Daily Mail online news in the UK.

What chance do they have in life? Who is there to help them, to ensure they have food and clothing? We try our best at Papillon and there are also other small ngo's and churches that do their bit, but it is never enough!

When I see him, I see myself! Is it the same with you? We are all supposed to be one soul and one heart? How on earth can we then allow this and close our eyes to it? Wake up I say, wake up!

This world teaches us about the importance of the self!
We have to wear the best and eat the best.
Yet our want is never satisfied, as soon as we get, we want more.
Nothing in this world can slake our eager thirst for goods and riches.

A Parable;
But a time will soon arrive in every life that all the goods and riches become worthless.
A ton of gold cannot help anyone at the last breath.
No riches of the world can help at the last breath.
Only the condition of the heart will count at the last breath.
Think about it!

The first photo is my own and the other three were taken from an online publication in the UK. ("The White Squatter Camps in South Africa". www.dailymail.co.uk)

thank you for this post.

@papilloncharity So much information thanks for sharing.

Thank you! Yes it is a lot of information and we pray that it will illicit many responses and hopefully also some support! As a Minnow, I am afraid Steemit is going to be the same as the world, by turning their back on us and our struggle. Be that as it may, there are always a handful of genuine and caring people that take up our cause. Sadly, this is life and this is why the world is growing by the day into a more sorrow filled place.

It's sad to see so many living below the breadline. There is always so much more that needs to be done and unfortunately, as you've mentioned, it will never be enough :(:( Respect to those such as yourself for trying to help :):)

Thank you! It is certainly a nerve busting and stressful struggle in our work to make ends meet! After 16 years now my body is starting to notify me about its unhappiness, but if we also choose to ignore the plights, what then about the thousands that we help? But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we will remain firm until the end! Blessings! Stephen
