Photography Help!

Can anyone help me with my photography? I just started manual photography with the camera my friend landed me. So here is one that I just shoot. I don’t know what to fix for a major improvement on this. (Canon ae-1)
The desired composition was to focus on the guy and have the rest obscure as they are.
