@pfunk -- gorgeous shots. how in the world did you find his cousin! loving your photos, thank you!!! ooh my gosh! he is kinda adorable in a spider type way! the spider guy in the corner here, right now, might enjoy him for an apetizer! wait..... spiders eat insects but do they eat little spiders as well? I am about to research my spider in the corner guy to find out about his little life! he doesn't jump, however looking at him makes me itch! he always returns to the corner. I am pantarei.... soon to post an introduction.... I will follow and head to your blog! ugh.... the spider's shadow is scarier than the spider..... he's walking right now! yikes. maybe he's as cute as Bold Jumper! looking forward to more of your spider posts!

Hehe, thank you. His cousin I saw jumping on a rock, then he jumped onto the mossy stuff where I just barely got him. The last photo was the only one I got of the guy in focus.

Great shots
💋 @halo 💋😇

Thank you!

The spider turned out wonderful

Thank you

These guys are so cute :D

Yeah I was surprised to see the cuteness when I got home and could see it on the monitor.

Nice macros!

Thanks daveks :D

Great shots! Love jumping spiders!

Thank you! They're neat lookin, especially their mouth bits.

I really love these shots Pfunk. Bold jumpin four-eyed fuzzies!

I didn't post any of the side-shots I got, but they actually have 8 eyes. Here's a quick and dirty unprocessed crop so you can see the eyes on the top and side of their heads

OOOOh! octeyed bold jumpin fuzz critters :)

Absolutely beautiful work!

Thank you Mike :)

amazing shots !

Thank you :)

So grateful you share these awesome shots @pfunk! I love love love macro; it gives a totally different perspective on the life that surrounds us. Who knew spiders and plants could be so hairy?!

Yes, I really like seeing stuff that normally just gets blurred out from distance. It's an addiction though, I'm already thinking about how to get more magnification :P

It's incredible to see what emerges when you focus on the small details! I made a macro lens for my iPhone by harvesting the lens from an old DVD player. It was pretty sweet, for what it was--definitely gave me a convenient macro fix!

Awesome macros @pfunk!

Thank you :)

bye spider.

Oh man that is brilliant!

Those are super tiny, aren't they?

What are you using, again?

Thanks! The lens is a Tamron 90mm Di Macro.

Ah, it's because with that camera you can crop a lot without losing as much quality.. My camera, on the other hand.. . needs upgrading! I very rarely crop because it loses quality quick. That's why I have been trying to get as close as possible.

The third pic down actually was another shot, taken closer, but basically looks the same because the spider didn't move. I cropped it down further. All this cropping has me thinking about a 200mm macro lens now :P

Well they are great images.

I'll be getting an extension tube for my 100mm, and I already have that 2.5x filter. Ring light, rail focus and manfrotto are also coming.. We'll see what I can do with them!!

Ooh you're gonna be a macro monster!

Beautiful photography man!!! It definitely compete my photography @pfunk ;)

Haha thanks @funnyman

Very nice. It looks like you got pretty close though even without a macro. He looks quite cute here:

Like a cartoon character! Arey these poisonous?

These were taken with a 90mm macro lens! And cropped on top of it. They are really small and these two were some of the biggest ones I've ever seen. About bites, they won't kill you. Wikipedia says:

Like most spiders, P. audax rarely bites humans. While symptoms of a bite may vary, the most likely symptoms are slight pain and localized redness of the skin.

OK cool. Thanks:)

Beautiful pics. These little guys are incredibly smart!

Thank you!

Wow, amazing pictures and really high quality! -upvoted
