My first solo backpacking trip - part 5

At last, the weather cleared up!

I've finally experienced Fiji as I imagined it when I was booking my flights. I got up early, and as I was waiting for Jack to join me, I went on a quick walk to the road beside my hostel, where I took this photo, just to show you how my surroundings look like:

A couple of minutes later Jack met me at the reception, and we decided to go on a trip to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. We managed to get a good price from the taxi driver (80$ FJ or 32€) to get us there and also pick us up after we finish the tour, which is quite cheap considering the distance (17 KM one way). Park admission was another $18 FJ per person, and we got served complimentary drink after we finished the tour.

Upon entering the Garden, we were greeted an army of frogs, hanging in and around a pond with water lilies:

I especially liked this frog, which reminded me like of old man gazing over his land in contemplation:

That's it for today, I still have a couple of photos to upload, but I had to pack everything away tonight, as I'm leaving Nadi tomorrow morning and heading to Savusavu, also known as 'The Paradise Island', where I'll be staying with fellow Slovenian Žare Veselič, who's been living here for the past 15 years, and he'll show me around a bit. The trip is going to take me almost two days, and I don't know whether he's got internet or not, so I might be late with future updates.
