Time ago, I learn about this wonderful term that is used in cinema as in photography. It's called The Magic Hour, so let me explain you what this is all about.

The Magic Hour is that moment of the day, where the distance between the sunset and the dark night is very short. Well, we can considerated a Magic Hour to all the light forms and faint shadows generated by the shinnig of the sunset, that slowly dies given it pass to the night, but creating beautiful effects and a unic estetic to our image. In tone, The Magic hour give this blue and pink essence taken by the eye of the camera. In the photographic world, this technique is famous by the names "Blue Hour", or "Golden Hour".

This is a photograph that was taken in the recording of one of my audiovisual projects. Could be useful to you as an example of what I'm talking about.

With the sun hidding into the horizon, The Magic Hour creates a extremely soft ilumination, that expand all his charming to other aspects of the image.

This particular moment has been study by many of the best directors of the film industry, transforming it into a very precise technique, as Terrence Malick and Stanley Kubrick. The perfect aplication of this Magic Hour give to "Days of Heaven", film directed by Malick, an Oscar award to best photograph in the 70's, being Nestor Almendros his photograph director.
