Hi, Steemians…
I was still at school when one day my mother and I went on an excursion to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden.
It was founded over 150 years ago. Here they grow plants from all over the world and thousands of tourists visit this garden.
Here I saw blooming big cacti for the first time and forever fell in love with these plants.
The climate on this side of the coast allows you to grow here any plants, including tropical ones.
To supplement the collection of the garden, a special decree of the king sent scientific expeditions abroad.
The garden was located near the Livadia Palace in Crimea, which was the official summer residence of the reigning family. The whole exposition was replete according to the tastes of the king and the European fashion for plants inherent in that time.
In the summer we often go there to rest. On the last trip we saw a lot of butterflies, of very different colors
You know how difficult it is to photograph them. They constantly fly from place to place. But something happened.
The garden occupies a large area and works all year. In winter, special pavilions are open for visitors.
Also, here you can order a variety of plants or their seeds. They are delivered worldwide.
The photo were taken by Canon A470
