hummingbirds - 3/11

in photography •  7 years ago

ok - the twins will be leaving the nest anytime now. they can't sink in to the teeny-tiny nest anymore when i walk by. they look pretty close to being able to fly. i have been keeping my distance as i don't want them to get spooked and fall out of their home, but you can see that their feathers are pretty well developed now! i got a pic from the front and back today so i could come home and do some research & i'm pretty sure that these are Allen's Hummingbirds. they are pretty common in our area.
