My Best Friend is an Incredible Photographer

My best friend @nicoledphoto is having a rough day so I really wanted to make an appreciation post to show everyone how awesome she is.

She works with an older Canon t2i whose lens continuously falls apart mid-shoot causing her to have to stop and put the pieces back together. She doesn't have a studio right now, just a living room with white walls and pieces of fabric she tacks to the wall to use as backdrops.

She doesn't have any fancy lighting kits. She mainly just uses a simple detachable flash to bounce light off the ceiling.

Nicole can produce amazing images using natural light as well. I'm always impressed at how well she uses natural and artificial lighting as it's not easy finding photographers who can do both well.

She's also incredible with Photoshop. The picture below was taken in a trashy alley area surrounded by litter and cars. I didn't think we were going to be able to get a great shot because of the location and she managed to produce an absolutely magical image.

Anyway, I just wanted to brag on my friend in hopes of cheering her up. She's so talented and works with what she has. I'm so proud to call her my friend.
