I shot a machine gun called a SCAR today. My friend and I walked into the shooting range and asked to shoot the coolest gun they had. Apparently the SCAR was it.
I've never shot a machine gun before, much less a handgun, so this was a very new experience for me. I was almost scared to even touch the gun lol but hey, we all gotta start somewhere right.
Let's just say...I couldn't "let it rip" because my arm may have gotten ripped off.
But hey, if you have a chance, shoot a machine gun. It feels absolutely unreal, and AWESOME!

It was around $100 to do one clip! Pretty expensive but that's the totally new to guns price I'm sure 😂

Hi @purplehearts ..I live in Vegas and keep saying im going to go to the shooting range..I have fired guns before just shooting cans and stuff at cherry creek in ojai California as a teenager..but you are braver then me ..I wouldn't even attempt a weapon like that ..lol Kayleigh :) :)

One of my favorite COD guns as well, so it felt cool actually seeing it, and shooting it, in real life. It's funny too, the instructor said "if you've ever played call of duty, this is much different" 😂

Very cool you got to shoot it, but what an irresponsible shooting range, they should have gauged your experience and started you off with something with a little less power, never firing a gun before that could have been bad if you lost control of it. I am an avid gun owner and love to shoot.

Agreed. But luckily everything but went okay. I was pretty nervous going into it bc of the recoil but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I've never been one to go shooting but after this, I might have to! What do you recommend starting with?

AR-15 if you ware wanting to shoot something bigger, but most start with .22's and then work their way up from there .308, .9mm .38 Then stuff that has a little more power and kick, because by then you know what type of stuff to expect and when someone say that has a lot of kick, you know how you need to respond to control it, glad everything went smoothly and all and I hope you shoot again, but start smaller
