The yellow finches are normally long gone north by now to escape the heat. This is the first I've seen in I'd guess over two months. She came and landed on a sunflower about 10 feet away from me. I pointed my camera at her but stayed facing straight.. She likes to munch on the new sunflowers more than the hard seeds.
