Cегодня у питерской погоды случился каприз, на пару часов вместо свинцового неба с бесконечным дождём дали солнце! Я использовал эту паузу, чтобы поснимать кое-какие предметы для моей текущей книжной работы.
Today, the weather had a whim, and for a couple of hours instead of a leaden gray sky and drizzling rain, we were shown the sun. I caught this pause, and used good lighting to shoot some objects for the book I'm working on (about soldier's cigarette cases).
А потом просто не мог остановиться, поснимал просто для удовольствия. Был бы рад опубликовать эти картинки для бездоходного использования на платформе Стимит -- если бы знал как.
After that I just could not stop, and shoot some more, just for fun. I would be glad to share these images for free use on the Steemit blockchain - if I knew how.

I went to check out a macro lens for my new camera the other day. I'm on the waiting list. I can't really afford it right now but hope within 3 months or so I'll have the spare funds for it (other things are taking priority right now).
I like macro shots although have done very little through having the incorrect, or unsuitable, equipment.
When I get the equipment I reckon I'll be a macro-monster! 😊

the truth is, one not necessarily need to buy dedicated AF macro lens that cost 1000 dollars, especially if the funds are low, you may go with manual old lens (meanwhile already start shooting macro... and accumulating money for obtaining the AI lens).
I may recommend you to look at soviet manual lens Industar 61 L/Z - it is about 40-50 dollars only! one will need macro coils and adapter, to use it for macro.

Looks ok. I have a mirrorless Olympus so would prefer to sti knwith OE lenses so figure I'll just save up until I can get one.

(actually its not a poster just a A6 clipping I took from a magazine. it just caught my attention and doesnt let me go).
the mermaid with sword and shield is the coat of arms of the city of Warsaw, I succumbed to the “magnetic mania” and purchased this souvenir “for good memory” about the city (I visited Europe only once, more than a decade ago). and I remember it without any help from said magnet))))
