La garganta de Cuartos es la más caudalosa de la comarca de la Vera. Debido a su abundante caudal, hay varios molinos ya abandonados. También cuenta con un puente medieval que es del siglo XV, dispone de dos ojos con arcos de medio punto y está levantado con sillares de granito, muy abundante el granito en esta zona.
