Kupiah Teuku Umar : The symbol of the hero's earth

Meulaboh of Aceh Barat, Aceh is referred to as Earth Teuku Umar and represented by the symbol "Teuku Umar Kupiah".
This term is given to West Aceh, because national hero Teuku Umar came from the land of Aceh Barat.
Teuku Umar was shot by colonial Netherlands and died while praying at Ujong Kalak, Aceh Barat.
