Llandudno is a luxury residential coastal suburb of Cape Town, South Africa and lies on the Atlantic Seaboard of the Cape Peninsula. Llandudno is named after the North Wales seaside resort of Llandudno, which means " Parish of Saint Tudno". Llandudno is home to a limited number of wealthy landowners and the odd lucky renter. It has one of the best beaches in Cape Town. If you walk a little further along the footpaths you will find a beach popular with nudists called Sandy Bay.

Ahh... my old hood :) Lovely reminders!

I was lucky enough to rent there for a while. I think it was back in about 2000 or before.

Lucky :)

It was only the maids room, but I remember thick expensive carpeting and waking up to that view and the smell of that sea air. The 2000 stock market crash forced me to move back to the dark side (Constantia) as the petrol price rocketed and my printing business was based in Plumstead so the cost of driving forced me to move. I guess if you don't have 10's of millions renting the maids room is the next best option.

I sympathize, I was in a similar position after the 2008 crash. I guess thats partly why we're here and in crypto, just tired of the lies and bullshit and stealing our hard earned money.

I had to sell my apartment at the time. I think the interest rates shot up to 19% if I remember correctly in the 2000 crash. A few years ago I studied the stock market and day traded for a while. I eventually stopped after a small loss and realized that he markets had to be rigged. If I didn't do that stock market stint I would probably have been caught out time after time like most people. My financial literacy education started when I read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki back in about 2001. The elites allow you to build up your wealth (if you are lucky to have any) only to fleece you later on. A financial education is probably the most valuable asset you can have.

I also read Rich Dad Poor Dad, and it got me thinking along the same lines. I might not understand all the cryptos but i know at least that bitcoin and perhaps ethereum are free markets. I suppose steem too :)

Takes my breath away. I walked on the shores of Llandudno, many moons ago. We looked up at some castles if I remember correctly.

Did you make it to Sandy Bay?

Lol no I did not. I have a new nudist beach 3km from where I live. Still, must go check it out one day. Would love to the experience of swimming naked in the ocean. Do not know if I am brave enough ;-)

You may want to go there in the summer as things are bigger ...... if you know what I mean ;-)
