A pair of mink spotted on University of Colorado's East Campus

These photos were captured one day as I walked along the bike path, where it crosses under a bridge near my office building.

I work on east campus, and the hike bike trail I was on leads right over to Boulder Creek. There is a small pond area next to each side of the bridge that these mink quickly disappeared into. It was very dark under the bridge and they came and went in the blink of an eye. I've included all of the pictures, even the blurry ones to tell the full story. Enjoy!

I love going for a walk to the creek during lunch. It's great to see actual wildlife from time to time.

A recent article in the Boulder Daily Camera indicated that the endangered river otter had returned to the area.

This same bridge is also home to a lot of acrobatic birds (sparrows or swallows of some sort?) They make their nests out of mud hung delicately underneath the bridge. The birds are seasonal and are long gone, headed south for warmer weather.

I happened to have my camera with me when we spotted this par of mink. They moved very fast and gracefully.
