Suzhou's Greater Guanqian 观前街 Area

in photography •  7 years ago

Most Chinese cities have some sort of pedestrian walking street, and Suzhou is no different. Guanqian Road   观前街  is near Renmin Road and the Leqiao Subway station. There is also one of the oldest and largest Taoist Temples here, and the grounds have been tricked out for commerce. However, this area is so big, with so many intersecting streets, I actually got lost here and walked in circles several times while trying to find my way back to the Leqiao underground station. Here are some photos of the area.

an amazing place with friendly people!

I think my next magazine article will be on this area of Suzhou. I need to get to know this city better. Last time I was there, Line 4 on their subway didn't exist.

Hen hao :/

I really enjoy posts like yours, gives me an opportunity to "visit" places I will probably not have chance to visit. Thanks :)
