Happy Sunday dear Hivers
Today I want to share with you some photos and information related to the Monstera Adansonii plant, well known as the Swiss Cheese plant.
This plant during the last years has been the protagonist of all the home decor blogs. Surely you have come across it on Pinterest while looking for inspiration to renew some spaces in your home, and it is because of the particular anatomy of its leaves and its intense green color that make it look perfect wherever you place it.
There are about 40 types of monsteras with some differences between them. Monstera Adansonii is called Swiss Cheese Plant precisely because of the naturally formed holes along with its entire leaf. This is its main difference from all its sisters. It is a plant that requires moisture to stay healthy and it is known that if the holes do not appear in its leaves is because something about its care is not doing properly well. This is a climbing plant that can reach a great height, however, it takes time to do so. It is possible to see its roots exposed which do not detract from its style and beauty.
As mentioned before, watering the plant is a crucial part of its care because it requires humid soil and abundant water but with drainage as otherwise, it will be waterlogged. The plant can not survive low temperatures so it is important to keep it in a warm place. Some of the good options to place it are the kitchen and the bathroom.
Thank you for reading and supporting.
Best regards.
