Photography: Rainbow Fish in the Dark - Fotografía: Peces arcoiris en la oscuridad

Recently I thought of photographing these fish by experimenting with light, as I could see that you could see through them. To take these pictures I used my Nikon camera and helped myself with my cell phone flash to illuminate the scene.

The hatchlings were separated from the adults since it seems that while they are small they run the risk of being devoured by the older ones. I am very surprised by the small size they have, it seems to me that they measure approximately 5 mm or even less than this.

On the other hand, adults seem to me to be between 1 and 2 cm long. This explains to me why they might eat their young, I imagine they mistake them for food because of their tiny size.

Bienvenido a mi blog.

Recientemente pensé en fotografiar estos peces experimentando con la luz, ya que vi que es posible ver a través de ellos. Para tomar estas fotos usé mi cámara Nikon y me ayudé con el flash de mi celular para iluminar la escena.

Las crías fueron separadas de los adultos ya que parece que mientras son pequeñas corren el riesgo de ser devoradas por las mayores. Estoy muy sorprendida por el pequeño tamaño que tienen, me parece que miden aproximadamente 5 mm o incluso menos que esto.

Por otro lado, los adultos me parecen tener entre 1 y 2 cm de largo. Esto me explica por qué podrían comerse a sus crías, imagino que las confunden con comida por su pequeño tamaño.
