The David, in Florence

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

This sculpture is actually way bigger than I expected. It really towers over you. It was also nice that it was mostly lit by sunlight diffused through the glass above it. I can't stand seeing things like this poorly artificially lit. I used a Sigma 10-20mm lens for this shot, and I wish I photoshopped out the security cameras/speakers. I removed some stuff from the dome behind the statue, but in my opinion the image could be cleaner.

Nice shot! Did you get one of his backside too?

You know, I'm not sure I did... Haha.

Thanks.
