Just Another Day

I didn’t get to walk much today as it started raining on my way back from walking. I didn’t want to get wet, so I stopped by at a small restaurant at the waterfront for shelter to pass and kill time until the rain stopped and hence decided to order a small bowl of clam chowder and sat down in one of the empty tables outside that has a shade.

As I was eating my small chowder a pigeon bird flew and landed at the wood rail next to my table. The pigeon bird just stayed there for a few minutes and so I took a photo of the pigeon.

But here are some photos I took which I want to share with everyone.

nice photo

Thanks @nieker. :)

What a nice little oasis so near to I5! I'm guessing you're in the Puget Sound area? I love the rhodies - we don't get so many of them here in Wyoming!

Hello @viking-ventures. Thank you for commenting and yes you got that right. There are lots of rhodies here in WA everywhere you turn around. When was the last time you were here? You know it rains a lot here. Anyways, I hope you have a very pleasant day today. :)

lol. It's been awhile - I was up there for a wedding in 2013 on Whidbey Island.
I lived in Vancouver, WA for a few years, moving to NE Washington before moving here to Wyoming. I'm probably stuck here for awhile now. We have toyed with the idea of moving back to the coast though. The North Oregon coast is where I consider "home" - though I've been many places now. (No military either.)

I see, so you've moved around and been to some places north side of the country. I've never been to Wyoming, how's it there? Been to Oregon years ago, places like: the Grotto, the museum of arts, and Japanese garden. I like the food there too and no tax. lol.

No sales tax is good. Here in Wyoming, it's only 5%, so it's a bit better. It was weird the first time I went to California and suddenly had to deal with sales tax for the first time. At least Oregonians are allowed to pump their own gas now, lol.

I've also lived in Wisconsin, New York and England.

Yes, I agree. Well, that is nice only 5%. Here in WA is 6.5, but local cities added 2%, so it's 8.5% in reality. Well, i remember back in the day, gas stations always have attendants pumping gas for you, today you do it yourself, good though - no more tipping, you get to keep it. Lol.

Oh, so you pretty much moved coast-to-coast then. Well, that's the way to see places, experiences, and meeting people and new friends. England - do you mean UK?
