What does "herrlich" mean in English? Glorious and magnificent probably are the closest equivalents. That is exactly what the Chiemsee is on a perfect autumn day. Bavaria's largest lake.
We on the North Eastern shore of the Chiemsee, to the North of the town of Chieming. There is a beautiful trail that runs along the ridge of a series of small hills that affords a grand view of the Chiemsee. We will be walking in a northerly direction.

The Chiemsee attracts lots of birds, and in autumn they begin to get ready for their journey to the South.

I never made the connection to Herr & Frau ;-) I thought of it as derived from "divine" i.e. Lord.
If I could do it over, I guess paradiesisch would be a more gender neutral word.
About the lucid dream, if they had a Salavdor Dali software app for photos, I would use it!
