Once Green Now Purple - How?

So, this mint leaf turned purple. It wouldn't be strange if mint turns purple naturally but, it doesn't. Or at least, not that I know of. I've never seen something like this happen with mint, ever. This was one of just a couple of leaves that turned purple. The rest were normal, strong, green color, as they usually are. Strange, but stunning.

What do you think? What caused it?

It is always amazing each year! Just hope the snow holds off here long enough to see it.

It is beautiful... it reminded me of a plant my aunt has but just the other way around... In Spring it is purple and in Summer it becomes green.
