One of my favorite buildings in Visalia California, will soon become a boutique hotel.
Always thought the abandoned 1930s Courthouse in the heart of downtown Visalia would make great apartments, but it looks like it will become a hotel instead.
A local group of businessmen and investors purchased the building from Tulare County for $2.36 million dollars.
The bottom floor will be restaurants, the top floor will be a bar with patio, and 28 rooms will be built for hotel guests.
I will be sure to be one of the first guest in the new hotel, even though I live less than a half mile from the hotel.
I’m @runridefly, and I’ve been photographing this old courthouse for the last couple years.
I think that It will be a great hotel. After that, I am waiting for inside photos. Thank you for information.

Haha, truly one of your favorite as you want to be among the first guest. I understand that feeling.
Please do report back when you have gotten a feel of it but 1930 is a really a long time, the contractor did a good job cos they building still looks firm

That will make a pretty neat hotel. So many options for ideas to transform it.

Love the art deco architecture in the central valley. Nice, you will have to photo the interior when they have it all done.
