Japan Photo Trip: Beppu Hot Spring Parks - Image #1
Fine Art Photography by @runrudy
Taken with my Sony A7RM2 with a 16-35mm Zeiss by @runrudy
Picture of a hot spring in Beppu. Beppu is in central Oita prefecture of Japan. It is home to more than 2,500 hot springs or onsens in Japanese. It is the second largest hot spring area only to Yellowstone national park. We were photo walking through all the different onsen parks. Japan is extremely humid during the summer. Now add in a hot spring and it feels like a hot sauna. I was worried about my camera and lens taking in condensation. I had to continuously wipe down my lens from the steam to take pictures. Thanks and enjoy.

@runrudy
i love your artistic photo work. It's awesome!
The picture of the hot spring is a wow.
May I suggest though that you describe what your experience in the place was like? I've never been to Japan and it's in my bucket list, please take me there through your posts. And I thank you already.

Hey there @englishtchrivy
Thanks for the support. I am new here so, I'm just trying to find my rhythm. It seems that the more I write the less attention the post gets. Could be timing of the posts, content and many other reasons. Still trying to figure it out. It is not just about monetizing for me. The ultimate goal is to get my work out there and share. The two most successful posts that I have are less text and just letting the images do the talking. Believe me, its not about lack of effort. Each image is not just a snap and a post. The art is planning, composition, processing etc... There is hours of back end work and hidden sweat equity behind these pretty pictures. : )
So still trying to find my place here at steemit. I do enjoy it so far. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Like yourself. I also don't do any social media so I am learning that as I go too. I like your ideas and I will try to add more description to the images. Especially if there is a funny story that goes with the image. Thanks again!

@runrudy
You're welcome.
The comment I put there is as plain as it is - I didn't see any complacency in your work - I can imagine how hard it is to find the right angle to take a good picture, sometimes you even have to crawl or lay flat on the ground for a great shot and sometimes the sun is too hard to catch - in this case the mist must have been a challenge so you don't have to defend yourself man. I've traveled many countries in Asia and Europe but I have never been to Japan, I've only heard stories about it from my students so I don't really know what the place is like. Take me there some times haha - what a strange request.
One last question, are you pinoy?

Hey there, thanks again. I visited your page after I posted and saw your photography. Photographer to photographer, I apologize if it came off wrong. I just get alot of friends and family that don't realize how much work goes into it. Which is not what you were saying, you were helping me out as a steemit member. I like your idea, thought about it and have accepted your help by changing things up in the future. This is just the first time I have shown my work on social media. So I guess I'm a bit nervous. That's all.
You would love Japan. The safest cities in the world. My wife and I always tinker with the idea of selling our home and moving to Japan where she grew up. That way we can do what you have done and travel Asia. Instead of it being a two week very expensive trip from the US, maybe a bunch of small weekend trips around the east from Japan. Yes, I am Filipino, but I speak more japanese than tagalog. It's kinda sad. I just followed you. Keep up the good work.

@runrudy, no worries, I get you there, first days here are pretty nerve wrackin' you didn't have to apologize but thank you, I didn't get you wrong - this is the net, written conversation could be misunderstood but I saw you were new so don't worry.
As for your photography, I think you are a professional - having seen the bottom pic you have with your daughters - I don't know how to do that perhaps you could blog about step by step tutorials - but its all up to you. It's pretty catchy and interesting!
I thought you were Pinoy cause of your face and the name. It's alright about you speaking more Japanese than Tagalog, ,I struggle with it, too sometimes.. funny but I'm not fluent in Tagalog either. Rizal would probably understand .
Keep Steeming, write everyday as possible as you can.
Have a great weekend!
