Hamilton Richard (English Richard William Hamilton, February 24, 1922, London - September 13, 2011, London) is an English artist whose collage "So what makes our homes today so different, so attractive?" Is considered the first work in the style of pop art .

Images of Hamilton, make up the language of pop art. This direction in art borrowed the symbols of modern mass culture, advertising and the media. Hamilton became the ancestor of the British variety of pop art. The collage was created specifically for the exhibition titled "Here it is, tomorrow" in the London Picture Gallery of Whitechapel. For Hamilton in the 1950s, the mandatory signs of tomorrow's world were "Woman Food History Newspapers Cinema Household Appliances Cars Cosmos Comics IV Phone Information."
