Gunung Sindoro berada di Jawa Tengah Indonesia dengan ketinggian 3150 mdpl. Gunung Sindoro ini sangat dekat dengan Gunung Sumbing, Gunung Sindoro - Sumbing berdampingan, kalau dilihat dari jauh seperti gunung kembar. Jika saya melihat kedua gunung ini dari jauh, rasanya saya ingin sekali untuk pergi kesana. Akhirnya rasa ingin saya untuk pergi ke gunung ini terpenuhi, saya dan teman - teman tiba di base camp pukul 14.30 wib via Sigedang, Kabupaten Wonosobo, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kami berjumlah lima orang, saat itu kami tidak bisa langsung mendaki dikarenakan orang yang punya base camp lagi dirumah sakit. Dengan begini terpaksa kami harus menunggu sampai yang punya base camp pulang. Hari sudah malam, kami juga belum bisa menjumpai orang tersebut. Tidak lama setelah itu, pengurus base camp mengatakan pada kami bahwa pukul 20.00 wib kalian sudah bisa melakukan pendakian karena orang yang kami tunggu belum bisa pulang. Kami langsung bersiap dan mengurus semua biaya administrasi. Dari base camp kami diantar menggunakan mobil Pic Up sampai ke pos 2, kurang lebih 20 menit akhirnya kami sampai di pos 2 dan langsung melanjutkan pendakian. Malam itu sangat dingin, disertai angin kencang, kami pun sangat kelelahan, kami tidak bisa berlama lama berhenti untuk beristirahat, karena udaranya sangat dingin, makin lama kami istirahat makin dingin udara yang kami rasakan. Akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk beristirahat dan memasang tenda di tengah perjalanan, saat itu kami sudah melewati pos 4, saya juga tidak tau persis posisi kami dimana karena seingat saya jarak kami dengan puncak sudah sangat dekat. Keesokan paginya kami melanjutkan pendakian, dan benar kami tiba dipuncak hanya kurang dari 2 jam.

Tepat pada pukul 12.00 siang bau belerang sangat menyengat, baunya tercium sampai ketempat kami, memang sih jarak kawah dengan tenda kami tidak begitu jauh, tapi memang disini lokasi tempat ngecampnya! Hari mulai sore kami pun ingin melihat sunset, sambil menikmati panorama dari puncak yang disertai bau belerang. Kemudian kami kembali ke tenda, bersiap untuk makan malam, ngopi dan beristirahat.

Keesokan paginya pukul 05.00 wib kami kembali lagi kesana, kali ini melihat sunrise, ini sangat berbeda dengan kemarin sore, sangat luar biasa, saya kehabisan kata-kata untuk menjelaskan semua ini, sangat sangat sangat indah! Saya selalu bersyukur bisa menikmati alam yang sangat indah ini, terima kasih ya Allah.

Kegiatan mendaki gunung bukan ajang perlombaan siapa yang sampai ke puncak ya, kita harus bisa belajar tentang alam, memahami lingkungannya, mana yang baik dan mana yang buruk, karena puncak itu hanya bonus. Mari sama-sama kita lestarikan alam, kita jaga alam kita, jangan buang sampah sembarangan, apalagi di rusak ya

SINDORO MOUNTAIN INDONESIA
Mount Sindoro is located in Central Java Indonesia with an altitude of 3150 meters above sea level. Mount Sindoro is very close to Mount Sumbing, Mount Sindoro - Sumbing side by side, when viewed from afar like a twin mountain. If I see these two mountains from afar, I feel like I want to go there. Finally my desire to go to this mountain is fulfilled, me and my friends arrived at the base camp at 14.30 pm via Sigedang, Wonosobo regency, Central Java province. We were five people, at that time we could not climb directly because of people who have base camp again in hospital. This way we had to wait until the base camp got home. It was late, we could not find the person. Not long after that, the base camp board told us that at 08.00 pm you could have made the climb because the person we were waiting for could not go home yet. We immediately prepare and take care of all administrative costs. From our base camp ushered by car Pic Up to post 2, approximately 20 minutes we finally reached the post 2 and immediately continue the climb. The night was very cold, with strong winds, we were so exhausted, we could not stay long to rest, because of the cold air, the longer we rest the cooler the air we feel. Finally we decided to rest and put a tent in the middle of the climb, by that time we had past the post 4, I also do not know exactly where we are because as I recall our distance to the peak is very close. The next morning we continued the climb, and right we arrived at peak just less than 2 hours.
At 12.00 pm o'clock the smell of sulfur is very stinging, it smells to our place, it is indeed the distance of the crater with our tent not so far, but it is here the location where camp!
Day start the afternoon we also want to see the sunset, while enjoying the panorama of the peak which is accompanied by the smell of sulfur. Then we went back to the tent, ready for dinner, coffee and rest. The next morning at 05.00 am we came back there again, this time looking at the sunrise, this is very different from yesterday afternoon, so amazing, I ran out of words to explain all this, very very very beautiful! I am always grateful to be able to enjoy this very beautiful nature, thank's Allah.
Mountain climbing is not a race event for anyone who gets to the top, we must be able to learn about nature, understand the environment, which is good and which is bad, because the peak is just a bonus. Let us both preserve nature, we take care of our nature, do not throw garbage carelessly, let alone be damaged!
