Walk with me amongst ancient standing stones of Pembrokeshire, Wales

Wales is situated to the left of England making it part of the United Kingdom. It is a treasure trove of megaliths and the legends surrounding them.

There was a cool wind blowing across the Preseli mountains this morning. The smell of mountain heather and bracken wafted occasionally on the breeze. A perfect day to take a good walk. The principal peak of the Preseli's sits at 1,759 feet or 536 meters above sea level. It is called Foel Cwmcerwyn and you can see that peak in the background of this photo.

The Preseli Mountains are well known for having been the origin of the BLUE STONES of the famous megalithic site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England.

The clouds started to darken a little but a whole mornings walking without rain was a lucky result for this part of the world.

This last photo below is not a megalith of course but an iconic symbol of Great Britain that I thought held a certain presence of its own! haha So I added it.

What a lovely comment thank you so much!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the monoliths of the British Isles. I imagine the celtic history that occured on such sacred sites, even if it's all in my head. While I love where I live, if I had to live somewhere else, it would be Wales or Cornwall.

I have spent many years in Wales walking many historic paths to castles and monoliths and many magical places.
It has a fabulous and rich history.

It truly does!

Oh my goodness, what a powerful place it must have been to visit.

And that warning sign...crazy... "Unlimited Fines" wow...they mean business...
