These are some tips on how to share content and add value:

Using a few sentences from your source in “quotes.” Use HTML tags or markdown ">" before the quote.
Linking to your sources.

The best thing is to reference properly. The easiest way is to add sources at the bottom of the post. It also acts like a further reading list for users.

I would like to point out that especially on steemit (but also in general) plagiarism (copying other people's content) is wrong.

Please try using your own words to explain and describe something and if you must use copy-paste text, please use

quotes

and always mention the source of your text.
