Comet 46P/Wirtanen is passing near the Earth for the next few days. I've never taken a photo of a comet before and I am going to try and get a photo tonight. Conditions are not ideal, and I may not get the shot. That's just part of the process in astrophotography. You go out, give it your best shot, and hope that it all comes together.

I hate when you go to all that trouble and you don't get the shot. I'm hoping it came out wonderful and you aren't too much of an ice cube when you get home.
