| There are a very large number of aster species - around 250 species that are distributed worldwide (Australia does not have these flowers). However, all types of asters have a characteristic feature - the yellow core, from which the petals (rays) diverge in different directions. For this reason, these flowers are so called: Aster means star, luminary. The type of asters that grows in my flower garden blooms in late summer - early September, so my asters are associated with the warm beginning of fall, when the summer heat falls and so it's nice to walk in nature.
