British red telephone boxes in Truro, England. steemCreated with Sketch.

in photography •  6 years ago

I remember years ago, there was almost always someone using these public telephones. Sometimes all 4 were in use and there were people waiting outside.

Now, they're almost always empty. I think they're mainly left in urban areas because they look good and are part of British history. They will probably end up like the Police Box in Doctor Who, no longer to be seen around the UK, except for novelty purposes.

Does make me think how times change. We don't use the telephone the same way we did 20 years ago, so it shouldn't be a surprise if the way we use money drastically changes in the next 20 years.

I thought Banksy killed the last one. Probably stealing one of them would be a good investment (joking of course).
