The sea can get rough around Cornwall and Portreath regularly takes a battering. I took lots of photos to get this one. The monkey hut on the end of the pier was destroyed by breaking waves in January 2014. It's been rebuilt since then and painted white.
The monkey hut was used by pilots to shelter, back when Portreath was a busy harbour. I can't imagine feeling comfortable sheltering in that.
