What makes you wake up in the morning? Some people wake up every morning to appreciate life itself, ... , Share with us what makes get out of your bed every morning
28 days ago I started a really cool application where I take a moment in the morning to look at my internal experience. Once I have it defined in words, I then give myself a support word to live that day. This process has supported me tremendously to actually decide every morning what my purpose is that day!
This way, I am not helpless to my circumstances, but am taking more of an active role and an agency on why I get up in the morning. It is my decision, my choice!
At the end of the day I do a recap on how the day went, so that I can further develop my support word through what I learned that day. Over time I end up building this living vocabulary of support that I can look to in times of need.
That is amazing. I believe that is very important to us to have a reason to wake up in the morning. I am glad that you found your way to determine a reason to wake up or a word olive by. If you want you can share a few words with us.
Keep chasing what makes you happy and what make you stay alive as well as motivated.
Sure, I would love to! One day I woke up in an experience of 'anguish', and i chose to live the word 'alleviate'. Another day I woke up feeling 'defeated' ,and I changed that to 'achieve' (this day I wrote out a list of goals and by the end of the day I had achieved them all!).
The last one I'll share is a recent one where I woke up feeling 'stuck'. The words I chose for this day was 'roll with it', picturing a boulder rolling down a hill like a force. I saw gravity as being the force pulling the boulder, so for me I used will-power as my gravity.
The interesting thing about this final example is that at the end of the day I saw that sometimes 'rolling with it' it not easy or smooth. It was a push for me for sure as I had to navigate obstacles and push myself through resistances.
But it was cool cause I did keep the momentum and roll through the day without stagnation or hesitation - something that I can't say for sure would have happened if I had not given myself support with awareness.
