The Buenos Aires Zoo has been converted into an ecopark. It sits in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The zoo's goals were to conserve species, produce research and to educate the public. Due to controversial topics related to animal cruelty, the 140-year-old zoo was closed and many of the animals were relocated to nature reserves, while some remain in the ecopark.
