Blanco Basin in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

in photography •  7 years ago

Blanco Basin sits amid the frozen San Juan Range in the Colorado Rocky Mountains in this image I lensed while flying and exploring the wilderness areas around Crescent Lake and Blackhead Peak.

Blanco Basin is the valley in the middle of this image while Blackhead Peak is on the horizon in the center.

This image is from my ongoing project in which I am trying to raise awareness of the 47% of the USA and 90% of Canada that remain unpopulated wilderness.

Where Eagles Fly - The American Wilderness Expedition is my personal mission to introduce people to these amazing locations that surround us.

The nature in Canada is amazing. Although a little colder, than I'm used to, but still so much to see. Nature is wonderful, and the wilderness scares me a little. Now we can finally realize, that people are just a small piece of puzzle and when the nature decide to mess with us we are just a tiny and helpless creature. Keep up your good work!

It is an amazing landscape that takes your breath away. We must enjoy the nature and everything that surrounds us.

Wow, what a view

gorgeous and captivating :)

There is still so much empty space on earth, it is hard to believe that all those 7 billion actually occupy just a tiny part of it :)
