A Programmer Programs A Robot To Draw Better Than Most People

Programmer :
I spend my free time working in my experimental design studio LinesLab, where I program my robot Karel to draw portraits from photos. In a way I try to create a bridge between art and technology and follow great computational artist like Georg Nees and Frieder Nake that started to create artworks with plotters.
Here are two of the styles that Karel has mastered, a doodle like drawing in a single line a detailed drawing with over 100.000 individual lines.

nice I saw a ai the other day which looked at old artists pictures and then created its own based on his paintings

Thanks for sharing. This is extremely interesting, the technologies that some people are managing to create these days completely astound me

Mankind is yet to comprehend the full capacity of what an AI can do.

Couldn't agree more. It scares me and excites me at the same time.
