It’s my first time here. The ranger told us this was the highest point (3,000ft) overlooking the entire Bay Area.
So we scouted a place for tripods and film cameras, loaded film backs, got the cameras ready for the 6am alarm.
Last night the wind started howling in 45mph gusts and the temps got down to 34 degrees. We slept in the van, totally warm and protected, but our campsite neighbors were all in tents and by sunrise they had already left.
The alarm went off and the van was being hit with wind. I laid there. Decided to nuggle and talk with my husband under warm blankets, and just listen to the wind, instead of cold photography.
@voder took this shot with my cell phone when he got up to make coffee.
Here’s to a New Year! Just think about all the photos we have not even shot yet. Excited?
I hope 2019 brings us all a portfolio that blows 2018 away.
Cheers!
