I will just need to select one that draws less power, or build a new power supply myself....

ok..sir smithlabs do they say on them when you buy them..how much power they use?

Don't know what they will draw, until I look. This one has a 650 watt power supply, and probably draws 450 watts. I may need to go to a laptop mother board for the next build.

Worst case I will be forced to buy a laptop, for minimal power use.

;D

oh wow, are you sure you'd be forced to? has to be a work-around for that problem.

I have not bought a complete computer in 15+ years. I prefer to build what I want into a machine. Buying a laptop, would be a big step down, simply to save time.

Not sure if I will do that or not. I still need to review power possibilities with current hardware first. Then I need to decide if I will power the unit directly from the 24 volt house buss.

:O

sir smithlabs..I understand..are you even going to hook up to the local electric company?

It is connected now. I just need to decide if I will leave it connected or not. But I am planning not to be connected.

I may want to sell power back to them from the wind generators, instead of using a dump load. I will need to see how much they generate to decide.

♡♡♡

oh ok well sir smithlabs I didn't know that you were doing wind power too, I was thinking solar, you have windmills?

Not yet, but I found a 1700 watt 24 volt unit for about $350, that will generate 450 watts at the average wind speed here. The second I will build (new design).

:D
